Holiday Food Drive
As we do every autumn, we’re all joining together again to support the less fortunate among us. Here’s how you can help!
SQUASH: If you harvested your squash for the food drive, please clean it and bring it to the church. We’re storing it in the women’s baptismal changing room.
PASSING OUT EMPTY BAGS: Sabbath, Oct. 27. This is where we need the most help! We will pass out bags to over 2500 local homes. You can select your territory map today at the tables in the foyer.
- If it’s raining, please take your map and bags and do it by Wednesday, Oct. 31.
- When you select your territory, you may also request to collect the filled bags from the same territory.
DONATING FOOD: We would like every member of the College and Village churches to donate non-perishable food. Please check expiration dates because we can’t give out expired food. Please bring it to the College Church fellowship hall Nov. 3.
FOOD BAG COLLECTION: Nov. 3 we pick up the filled bags after church and have a sorting party in the Fellowship Hall. You can select a territory that day even if you weren’t able to help before then.
DELIVERING THE FOOD BOXES: Nov. 17. Plan ahead to join us! We need drivers and deliverers. Refreshments, sharing time and fellowship to follow.
HELP FINANCIALLY: Mark your tithe envelope Holiday Food Drive.
CLEANUP: 9:30 AM–12:00 PM Sunday, Nov. 18.
We are now accepting names for food boxes. Go to www.thecollegechurch.com and click on HFD Names.
